  • Hi Mr.Ved Prakash Mishra,

Have you installed the CU for server 2016, if not, please install it and test again.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3192366

Besides, we are deploying the test environment, we'll feed back as soon as we got a result.

    Best Regards,

    Anne

  • Hiya,

    Thanks DonPick!

I was struggling with installation even after I got that "SQLSysClrTypes" package, I got it from this URL:

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=188392&clcid=0x409

Installed it - but it didn't work out, I was not able to install ReportViewer. Downloaded package from your link - and all worked like a charm - ReportViewer installed.

Weird as both install files say they are for x64, and both for W2012, and have identical file name - but the weight of these are different, one from the link I gave is 3.4 MB and one you gave is 2.4 MB - so these definately are different.

I've checked installed applications on the server and indeed these seem to be different:

SO, once again, thanks for your contribution!

  • Hello, all

I was facing the same issue after installing a "SQLServer 2012 System CLR Types" x64 package. WSUS/reportviewer didn't detect this package.

I resolved this when I find that I used the lastest version of the "SQLServer 2012 System CLR Types x64" package, released with the "Feature Pack SQLServer 2012 Service Pack 3" on my system.

This is the wrong version, Report Viewer 2012 NEEDS the RTM version of "SQLServer 2012 System CLR Types x64" and not any newer version.

So,  BE CAREFULL ABOUT THE VERSION of the "SQLServer 2012 System CLR Types x64" that you download: use only the RTM version (i.e. without any service pack) of this package.

The link of this package has already been given in the previous post:

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=188392&clcid=0x409

PS: You need to remove/uninstall any version of SQLServer System CLR types  (from SQL 2014, SQL2016,etc...) previously installed on your system before you can install and run Report Viewer 2012 for WSUS

    Hope this help.

  • Anyone knows why does WSUS 2016 redirect to the 2012 version of MS Report Viewer runtime redistributable for installation ??? Ain't the 2015 Runtime more recent ? ..

    MICROSOFT® REPORT VIEWER 2012 RUNTIME: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35747
    MICROSOFT® REPORT VIEWER 2015 RUNTIME: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45496
MICROSOFT® REPORT VIEWER 2016 RUNTIME: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52676 (Feature pack that includes the Report Viewer Runtime 2016)

Also, why is this comment system include image and url insertion in reply form when both are prohibited on reply (only OP seems to be allowed to)
