  • Hi Channaveera,

Are you SFB databases installed on Default instance or named instance? If is not default instance also add the named instance in SQLServerFQDN.

    Or

If your databases are not installed on default location that the SQL server uses. So lets say normal DB-path for your SQL server is D:/Data/db.. and SFB DB is installed whole different folder or drive you also need to specify DatabasePaths.

    Kind Regards,

  • Hi Channaveera,

First ,make sure your account was member of RTCUniversalServerAdmins and is a SysAdmin on the SQL Server.

Based on your error message(Install-CsDatabase : Command execution failed: Cannot determine where to install database files because Windows Management Instrumentation on the database server is unavailable from your computer or user account. To continue, you can resolve this issue, or you can specify where you want to install the files.),you should add the attribute(called -DatabasePaths ) in the end of Cmdlet, pointing to the correct location of the files.

    Install-CsDatabase -ConfiguredDatabases -SqlServerFqdn atl-sql-001.litwareinc.com -DatabasePaths "E:\CSLog","F:\CSLog","G:\CSDB"

  • thanks.

What if the database are spread across multiple LUNs do i have to run the command for each databases?

  • Based on my reasearch,Different LUNS come from different pools of disks, the answer is yes, if the LUNS are from the same pool of disks, you just run this cmd for once.
