Microsoft Outlook issue-email folder access RRS feed

  • Question

  • Unable to access one of 2 email account folders.  Perhaps settings were inadvertently changed on one of them (I wouldn't know what the look for).  A message 'The set of folders cannot be opened.  The server is not available.'

  • Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us!

Based on your description, issue is one of the Outlook mailbox folders cannot be opened, which is more related to Outlook client side. To better resolve your issue, I will move the thread to Outlook specialized forum.

  • Hi,

    >>Unable to access one of 2 email account folders.

What are these folders? Shared folders or own account folder?

In case there is something wrong with the navigation pane settings, we could try running the /resetnavpane command removes all customizations to the navigation pane. To do this, please close Outlook and then go to Start > Run. In the Open box, type Outlook.exe /resetnavpane, and then choose OK.

If issue persists, please create a new profile via Control Pane > Mail > Show Profiles > Add.

Any updates, please feel free to tell me.

    Regards,

    Perry
