Use UAG's TMG for Reverse Proxy RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

Here is my question, and have UAG published, and i have a separate address not assigned to UAG which i want to use for TMG for publishing a WebApp, i know that its not supported, but does someone has a guid how to do it?

The problem started with, TMG not allowing Internet users to access his External address that is not assigned to UAG, so what ever I do i cant even pass this problem,

  • As you recognise, the supported purpose of FTMG being supplied with UAG is to:

    a) Provide the mechanism to allow UAG to do its job and create the necessary rules & policy rules to match the UAG configuration

    b) To protect the UAG server itself.

If you have another IP address why not use it through UAG and publish the web app directly on its own trunk rather than try and publish it through the TMG functionality? Not all UAG apps have to be presented via the portal for example.
