  • if your hp is anything like my dell then you'l loose your system recovery function also xp and you wont be able to restore it back to xp, i've had all sorts of problems, but eventually i contacted dell and there sending me the actual system recovery cd so i'll be able to restore my comp back to the way it was.

from what i can gather thought the best way to install vista is a fresh install, dont upgrade, and only install it if you dont rely on the comp you have for day to day work purposes.
