  • Hi Arun,

    Thanks for responding.

Im using the below steps to copy/move the subsites

1)Site Action > Manage Content and Structure

2)From there we see the list of all the subsites - check on the requried subsite > Goto Actions >Select copy /move

3)Then select the destination site where the subsite needs to be moved

Please let me know if i have been doing anything wrong here - i understand and aslo tried to copy the subsite using the stsadm command we can copy the subsite from the backend but we need to do this task in the site itself without having to go and do it in the backend.

    Appreciate your help :)

  • Hello Rekha,

can you check creating a new sub-site with Blank Template and then move the existing site via manage content and Structure and let us know if that works :)

    Thanks,

    Raj

  • Hi Veera Raj,

    Thanks for your response.

As mentioned earlier we are succesfully able to move the subsite ,whereas copying subsites is creating problem

We are also able to copy pages but subsites is something which is causing an issue.

We used all the sorts of templates while creating the subsites, but all in vain :(

  • Copying a site requires higher permissions and modifying this involves major security repercussions within SharePoint.

You must perform this action as a Site Collection Administrator
