Backup every 15 minutes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible in data protection manager to backup files every 15 minutes? I'm only seeing recovery points for every 30 minutes, and the sync does not actually create a recovery point every 15 minutes. I want to do this with files, not a database. Thanks.

  • Hi,

you won't be able to create recovery points every 15minutes. You can create a recovery point after each synchronization using the DPM Console but you need a powershell script to automate that process.

  • Hi,

Windows has a VSS snapshot limit of 64 shadow copies for file data, so at most you could only keep 16 hours of recovery points at 15 minute intervals.
