No Reverse DNS for Branch Offices RRS feed

    Hi,

    We have two branch offices connected by IPsec Tunnels. We don't have DNS servers in those branch offices. There are very few clients in these branches and being authenticated by the DNS Server in H.O. We can connect to the PCs in these branches by their NetBIOS Names and IP Addresses but our H.O DNS Server is not registering reverse DNS Entries for these clients in their reverse DNS zones. The IPsec VPN devices are Sonicwalls. We talked to SonicWALL Support but no benefit.

    Any Suggestions?

    some quick questions...

    1) How are they getting their DHCP addressing?  From a domain server or another device on the remote networks?

    2) Are the reverse zones already created for those IP ranges on the DNS server?

    They are getting DHCP from Sonicwalls.

    Reverse Zones are already configured in H.O DNS Server.
