How to hide the projects with groups RRS feed

  • If want to hide the few projects.

    One group can see the projects in read only mode in the project center.

    Other group can't see the projects in project center

    what permissions can apply ?

  • Hi there,

    You would need one/two categories to do this. If its for the same projects you could get away with one category that has these projects associated. Assuming one new category (same projects for read only and hide), see high level steps below:

    2 Groups:

    • One Read only
    • One Hide

    Add the users to the correct groups and add the new category to both groups. When adding the category to the groups do the following:

    • Read only group

    With the new category selected, allow Open Project, View Project Schedule in PWA, View Project Summary in Project Center

    • Hide group

    With the new category selected, deny the above category permissions

    There will/might be Global permissions that you need to set but this will depend on the the requirements / other security groups these users are members of. You will also need to make sure other categories dont give the users edit access to these projects.
