Project Professional 2010 task names disappearing RRS feed

  • We currently have a 2000 line project on Project Professional 2010, that sometimes loses the task names when changes are being made but not necessarily to that task. This has happened several times to different project managers on different pc's. This week around 80 task names disappeared and we had to close without saving losing over an hours worth of work. We are on SP1.

    Anybody got any suggestions?

    As a first step, I suggest updating Project 2010 to Service Pack 2. See:

  • Thanks for the replies.

    We are currently looking to update to SP2 but we have been advised by our consultant company that this will require their expertise so I'm waiting for management to approve.

    I will get our technical team to look at the hotfix and hopefully this will sort the current issue.

  • Installing a Service Pack is safer than a Hotfix as the SP has much more testing.

    There have been no reports that I have heard of in these forums or elsewhere of problems with SP2, so I would install it rather than the hotfix.
