How to read new ETL log files?

  • Developing Windows 10 for my enterprise. I have hit bug where none of my machines will join the domain during imaging. Naturally I went to the Netsetup log and it is now an ETL file. I have read this long convoluted process to enable reading it. I have a hard time believing that Microsoft would take away a native way to read logs. Do I really have to download symbols and an executable and run 10 powershell commands on every machine that I want to read logs on? It just seems I am missing something.

  • I guess c:\windows\logs\netsetup isn't where I should be going anymore. c:\windows\debug has readable log files in trace reader.
