Not opening container folder in browser download folder RRS feed

    In firefox and IE10 when I download something after download I cannot open the containing folder with the right click option I get the following error.

    'This folder does not have a program associated with it for performing this action'

    Ran SFC but it found no errors so now lost as to what happened.

    Please help if you can.

    Thanks a lot Nicholas for your assist.

    But I solved the problem by doing a repair upgrade using the windows disk while in windows .

    This did cause some other problems such as some programs not working but resolved them.
