How do you wrap text in a custom report? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a custom report but the text does not wrap round, the line simply cuts at the column width.  In Project the text is wrapped.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

You have not provided nearly enough information to answer your question.  First of all, what version of Microsoft Project are you using?  2013, 2010, or 2007?  Second, what type of report did you create?  What are the specifications for the report you created?  Let us know and we will try to help you.

  • Apologies.  I am using Microsoft Project 2010.  I have a simple project in which I have included custom text fields to report on progress and also next steps as a narrative.  I then produced a task custom report to show all the information in the project but it does not wrap the text in any of the fields.

  • Matthew,

Sorry Project does not wrap text in custom reports. I suggest you simply use the Gantt Chart view or Task Sheet view, if you don't want the Gantt graphic, and use that as your report.
