Updating SMTP Server Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a new smtp server and I'm updating my sharepoint outgoing email. I've updated my SMTP server on my outgoing email in Central admin.  And I've also added my SMTP server and SMTP server IP to my host file.
    But when I've tried to telnet it.. it would produce an output of "220 ******************************************"
    and my site still can't send outgoing email.
    I've look on my log files and seen this error "Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1"

    Can you please help me with this error.

    Have you added your server in allow relay list?

  • This Issue has been resolve by adding the server to the relay list.
