Finding GPOs with a specific name RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey Scripting Guys and Technet,

I was reviewing the GPOs that have our department's name on them, and discovered that several of them can't be controlled by me (admin).  I wanted to get a list of all the GPOs with our name on it so I could go though and make a few lists to clean up our environment.  I tried this, but it failed:

    Get-GPO * | -filter {$_.where -displayname like "department"} | Out-File C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\GPOs.txt

I'm not sure if I can filter out the results this way, but I figured it was worth a try.  Has anyone ever tried this before?  My google searches have come back blank.
