MOM 2005 MPs for non-Microsoft systems RRS feed

Answers

  • MOM 2005 is not supported any longer (except extended support contract customers) - and there are no longer any MP's supported for MOM 2005.  There were, to the best of my knowledge, no Unix/Linux monitoring capabilities for MOM2005, as this was a feature added in SCOM 207 R2 in 2009.

If there are third party vendors still creating or supporting MOM 2005 management packs, you may want to go direct to those vendors.  I am not aware of any.

  • Maybe worth for you to check on Microsoft Pinpoint. That is the resource for Management Packs. Both free and paid Management Packs can be found here.

    Cisco: http://pinpoint.microsoft.com/en-US/applications/search?q=cisco
    Linux: http://pinpoint.microsoft.com/en-US/applications/search?q=Linux

The only thing I didn't check was the availability for MP for SCOM 2005. For 2007 a lot is available. For 2005 I'm not sure.
