Home Folder not mapping on Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am in the process of testing Windows 8 for our department and have come across an issue with the Home folder not being mapped.

We map the drives under the users profile tab and not by scripts, we are running server 08 R2 so I wouldn't have expected there to be an issue. This has been working perfectly fine for us in XP, Vista and 7 but doesn't work for 8!

I have read a number of post about Drive mapping issues in windows 8 but none that have really helped.

If anyone has any suggests that I can try please let me know.

  • I was experiencing this same issue. This PC had a multi card reader that was using the same drive letter as the home folder (H). I went into disk management and changed the drive letter of the card reader and we were good to go.
