Cursor problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am curious can the cursor for Windows 7 be made bigger at the start up page? I have trouble seeing the cursor when logging in. Once inside Windows I use the extra large inverted cursor to navagate around.

  • Windows 7 has no idea when it comes to DPI settings. If you take over a session you will be stuck with the DPI settings in use, logging in and out trashes your desktop arrangement etc. etc. So much for desktop composition!

I don't think you can fix this, although in my experience if I log out at high DPI/custom mouse the login screen will not appear larger/have the mouse, but it will if it locks.

Perhaps there is a way to change the System DPI/mouse settings rather than the user's DPI? This is something that has never been explicit even in XP.

FWIW, using pixels for measurements is sooo 1980s! C'mon Microsoft!

EDIT: Sorry for the delay but I have confirmed this happens with the mouse too.

Just trying to get value-for-money for the $20,000 worth of your products I support...
