How to disable DPI scaling for certain desktop gadgets? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using a 125% DPI setting, but many 3rd party desktop gadgets don't support it (broken graphics / extremely slow perfomance).
Is there a way that I can disable DPI scaling for  a certain gadget?

  • If the gadget had a 'settings.ini', it could control font characteristics, as any HTML file can.

  • Could you give more details on  that? Since I'm not familiar with gadgets developing, I don't know which parameter to edit.

  • Hi,

You can find gadget setting in following location:

    C:\Progam Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets

Please double click the Gadget folder which you want to modify, there are several Html and xml file, please open it and try to modify font parameter.

    Hope it helps.

You're not asking my question. I want to disable DPI scaling for that gadget, since there're too many parms, I can't edit them without further breaking the gadget........
