FCS scanning 3 times as week - policy issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    fcs newbie here.

how do i deploy a policy to scan 3 times a week? looking at the console it seems that i can only scan once a week at a set time.

i guess i would have to create 3 policies for each date. so i created 3 seperate policies & deployed them as .reg files. i imported one of the policies using the fcslocalpolicytool. when i tried to import the other files is got a message that:

'there is already a policy on this macbines. applying the new policy will cause the old policy to be removed'

    any suggestions?

    Thanks

  • Hi Kass

You currently cannot deploy multiple policies to a single machine.  Also, as you noticed, you cannot configure a scan to go three times a week.  A potential workaround:

    1) Take a look at mpcmdrun.exe in the \antimalware folder (under the \Client Security\client install path).  It's a command line tool for launching scans

    2) I believe you can create your own windows scheduled task to run on the schedule you wanted

    Thanks
