Why is SP2010 trying to access mirror databases? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Our SP2010 is trying to randomly access ( using the farm account ) each of our failed over databases, about every 2-5 mins or so.

The databases are in mirror mode, having failed over to another server already, so were mystified as to why SP2010 would be trying to access the mirror SQL server. Mirroring works fine and has been tested thoroughly.

Does anyone have any idea why this might happeneing please?

SP2010 is running fine, we just keep getting these errors in the mirror SQL Server error logs.

    An example:

Cannot open database "Managed Metadata Service_832c26ab34e1430fb55f70aac8c79837837e" requested by the login. The login failed.

    Any thoughts welcome.

  • Hi,

Where are these mirrored databases stored? In the same server?

Try executing the sharepoint configuration wizard again.

    Thanks, Rahul Rashu

  • No, the mirrored database are on a physically different ( non-VM ) server.
