How to disable network credentials in Windows 8.1 RRS feed

    hello,

    I recently updated my PC (Windows 8.1 Single language) to be upgraded to Windows 10. I am also connected to a workgroup. the other PC is using Windows 10. However, after updating my PC, it is always asking for the network credentials whenever I try to connect to the other PC. I have never used any password for this before and I don't understand why it's asking for one now. I have also tried everything for a solution and it never worked at all. Now I am afraid to upgrade my current PC to Windows 10 as it may have the same problem.So please help as I really need these computers to be connected in order to do my work as it is greatly affecting my work. Thank you.

    What do you mean by saying connect to?

    If mstsc.exe, I suppose it is a normal behavior. Remote connecting needs the effective username and passwords.

    If you mean connecting to a share, we could check the permission of the share.
