  • If the agent failed to install, the logs will appear under the install directory on the SCE server under AgentManagement\AgentLogs.  If it failed in the process prior to be able to run the MSI, no log will be available. 

     

    If this is the case and you are receiving an RPC error, check that the firewall on the machine is not preventing access.  Note that pre-releases of Windows 2008 are not supported by SCE for production use.  Some workaround may be required - for example the firewall policy provided by SCE is not compatible with Windows 2008 due to the changes in the server configuration.  The product configuration wizard should not have the automatic firewall policy option checked.
