file coping process dead slow in windows XP RRS feed

  • file coping process is very slow in my system. i've installed Windows XP. 1GB RAM, Intel 945GCCR motherboard, Pentium D 2.80GHz processor. file coping process is dead slow. 1GB file taking 45 minutes. Can i have any possible solution?

  • Which type of coly? Network file copy or local copy?

    File copy speed depends on the hard drive speed, the CPU speed and the memory. How does it work in Safe Mode?
