The project start date is not showing as Month 1 on the second tier. RRS feed

  • The project 2016 start date is not showing as Month 1 on the second tier. It is showing as month 11. See attachment for an image of the view.

    I tried setting the earlier tasks to manual but it did not change the display. I did notice however that the Project rev was different. I looked online and found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3114865 . After the install the issue was corrected. Thanks for the response and help in resolving the issue.

  • Your start date is 3/1/ 2017, but all of your tasks are earlier than that.

    Just re-set your project start date to be the same as the earliest start date of the tasks.

  • Hi Neil,

    I'm guessing what you are trying to do is show the Gantt chart timeline starting with Start Foundation.  The tasks previous to Start Foundation you want to show as -M1?

    Using Project 2016 16.0.7030.1021 and setting the earlier tasks as manually scheduled, the Gantt chart timeline shows as desired.
