Install Skype for Business Server; frontend and edge role on 1 single server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

Is it technically possible to run both the front end role and the edge role on one single dedicated server?
The server has 2 network adapters and is located behind a NAT enabled firewall.

    Any advice would be great.
    Thanks in forward!

    Best regards,
    Nico

  • Hi NicoTheDutchman,

Welcome to post in our forum.

Agree with French, you couldn’t install Skype for Business frontend server and edge server on the one single server.

As a supplement, because you need to add the SFB front end server to the domain, but you couldn’t add SFB edge server to the domain, the edge server required a workgroup computer.

    Hope this helpful to you.
