Are the FilterForDisconnection method of the MAextension.dll and Connector filter rules of the MA properties cumulative? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can I have both sorts of filter rules configured for my MA?

Id so, I guess if the filter of the GUI says false and my .dll rule says true, then its filtered. And if GUI says true and my .dll returns false it is filtered.

  • You can define one filter type per object type.

Within the Configure Connector Filter section, you select the object type and then the filter type.  Options for the filter type are None, Declared, Declared (Import Filter), Rules extension.  If you select Declared or Declared Import Filter the sync engine uses the filters you've configured in the GUI.  If you select rules extension as the filter type, the filter criteria in the GUI is greyed out and the sync engine will look for and fire FilterForDisconnection within the rules extension dll.
