Error 25010 - VC80SP1 installed: false RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    On some clients, App-V agent could not be installed. When I check the log file there is a line

    "VC90SP1 installed: true; MSXML6 installed: true; VC80SP1 installed: false"

    There is similar post about this problem here but it is about x64 clients. I have seen this problem on x86 client.

  • Did these clients already have the VC 8.0 installed? If so, which version/build?

  • Hello,

    That means that you have not installed all the prerequisites that the clients need.

    (specifically VC 8.0 SP1...)

    Check this article to see what components are needed;

  • But, I am using setup.exe which installs prerequisities first.

    Why do I need manually to install these prerequisities?

  • Hello,

    For some reason it seems that it failed to install. I would investigate why and if possible trying to reset it either by uninstalling or enabling verbose logging to ensure that you fully understand where in the process it fails...
