  • all such "Tuning" tools are nonsense and snakeoil. Read what Mark Russinovic h wrote about those useless tools:

"I haven't and never will implement a Registry cleaner since it's of little practical use on anything other than Win2K terminal servers and developing one that's both safe and effective requires a huge amount of application-specific knowledge."

If your boot is slow, make sure you have the service Superfetch running and next try to speed up the boot with the help of my guide [1]. This trains the advanced prefetcher in Windows 7. This increase the boot performance a lot. All other tweaking tools are useless. Only use this method with this Microsoft Toolkit.

Free or not, it's snake oil. Stay far away from all programs like
    that.

There are no such programs that are any good.

If your computer is slow, one of the most common reasons these days is
that you are infected with malware. What ant-virus and anti-spyware
programs do you run? Do you keep them up to date?
