Can no longer scan computers from the console. RRS feed

  • When I try to manual scan a computer from the console, I get the following error...

    No Client Security Management Servers were discovered in the MOM "Microsoft Forefront Client Security Collector" computer group.

    This has worked prevously and I'm not aware of any changes that would have caused it to stop working.

    The MOM operations manager for the server shows Microsoft Forefront Client Security Collector in the computer group details for the server. 

     

    Running on a 2008 virtual server with the collection database and WSUS all on the same server.

  • have you tried restarting FCS/MOM services or rebooting FCS server ?

  • Yes... rebooted the server and actually restored to a checkpoint from a few days earlier.

  • No errors related to FCS/MOM in event viewer ?

  • No errors... everything is workings correctly (daily scans) just the manual scanning is getting this error.
