IE 11 Will not uninstall RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Everyone,

    I have a 2008 r2 sp1 server that will not uninstall IE11, this is what I have tried.

    1. FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart"
    This will force to uninstall IE 11 and roll back to IE 10. - Erros on each step and does not uninstall.

    2. wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:2841134 /quiet - Gives catastrophic error and does not uninstall.

    3. When I go throught the control panel, add remove programs, show windows updates - Nothing is listed.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    Please refer to this article about downgrade from ie 11 to lower if you installed IE 11from windows update:

    If you could not open the IE after restarting, you could enable the IE through turn windows features on or off.

    Regards.
