    Is there any way of running the vista install stright from the iso, instead of bunning it to DVD?

  • The only way would be to mount it with a program like Daemon Tools and run a program like VMWare to install it on a Virtual PC...

    whats the problem with burning it to a DVD?

  • so, you have mounted it and run it off a virtual pc???

    does it stop at the same place every time???

    if you just try to copy from the mounted drive, can you copy all the files to your HDD???

  • sorry i should have said, i have burnt it to a dvd and run it from there, tried fresh install and upgrade and gets to 77% and errors with a message a error occured whole coping setup files to your local machine, 80070001,

    I tried to copy everything from the dvd to my hard just and fails on the dos part?

  • sounds like you burnt the disk too fast or there was just a error on the disk...

    how fast did you burn the DVD? and did u verify the burn afterward?
