I did a complete backup of my old computer that was running windows XP. I have now brought a new computer that is running with Vista home premium. What I would like to do is restore all my files to my new computer. I go to the restore option but the backup I did on my old computer is not listed. I have a central hard drive on my home network. I suppect that since the backup was done on the old computer using XP, the new Vista computer does not recognize that backup. My question, how can I do a restore of my data files into my new computer. Please tell me a simple way to do this .
