After the upgrade of kb2670838 our application is crashing when it runs in x86 mode before reaching 400 mb RRS feed

  • Question

  • It happens for all operating systems when application is compiled and runs in 32 bit mode.

    After using the application for a while it crashes with out of memory exception. To constatly reproduce it we have created a loop that tries to open 1000 forms with editors. After 25 it crashes.

    Before this upgrade or after uninstalling it we are able to create 1000 without any problem.

    This is just a simple scenario to reproduce it of course that we don't keep so many windows opened.

    In the attached screenshots you can see that the number of handles created for those 25 windows after the upgrade is huge 8294 and for 1000 windiows before the upgrade or after uninstalling the upgrade is 2195

    We suspect that is a leak in managing Handles.

    This is the exception that we get:

    Exception in Application context Run: Main application context : Parameter is not valid. at System.Drawing.Image.get_Width()
    at System.Drawing.Image.get_Size()
    at DevExpress.XtraBars.BarItem.IsSameSize(Image old, Image newImage)
    at DevExpress.XtraBars.BarItem.set_Glyph(Image value)
    at NordicIT.Mark5.Module.DM.Editor.frmEditorRibbon..ctor()

    Does anyone know what could be the cause and if there is any fix in progress?
