Local admin security group (to provide admin rights ) doesn't work on VPN users

    Question

  • Hi,

Facing issue  while providing admin rights, by adding user ids to the Local Admin security group in AD, to the VPN users (who sits outside the organisation). I can see the security group's name in the list of applied security groups while checking the gpresult /r.

But still VPN users are not getting admin rights to perform their day to day activities.

    Kindly suggest ASAP.

  • Hi Jay,

we have already a local admin security group in place, where we add user ids to provide them Admin rights. It works fine for office users who connect their system via Lan cable, but issue occurs with VPN users( who sits outside office), that too with few users. Which means security group is working fine.
