Internal Error (25100) when updating AppV Mgmt Service to version 4.5 SP2

Hi guys,

I tried to update an existing 4.5.1.15880 AppV Management Server to version 4.5 SP2 and got that internal error. AppV is running on a W2K3 SP2 Standard Edition. No W2K8, no .NetFramework 4.0 as described here. Setup logfile does not show up .Net errors.

All hints are appreciated.

The log indicates an MSI error: MSI (s) (60!94) [18:26:17:929]: Product: Microsoft System Center Application Virtualization Management Server -- Error 25100.An internal error occured.

There's a few things that you could try:

- Update Windows Installer to 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4

- Re-download the source, in case the file is corrupt

- Un-install the Management Server and re-install using the latest version.

Well, uninstalling Management Server v. 4.5 CU1 and reinstalling version 4.5 SP2 worked for me.
