  • Hi Osama Salem,

    >>‘some days it works perfectly and another days it gives time out error’

The Timeout error message is a general issue, which commonly occurs when an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine is not running, or when there are some network problem or firewall issue.

Based on your description, seems it might be a network problem or firewall issue. Please refer to the resolution in typical causes of this error and unusual errors sections.  More information, pleases reference this article about TroubleshootingTimeout Expired. Meanwhile please try to check your network traffic volume when connections fail.

Moreover, SQL Server 2008 contains a new feature; the Connectivity Ring Buffer is designed to help troubleshoot connectivity problems. It can capture a record for each server-initiated connection closure, including each kill of a session or Login Failed event.

More information, please refer to Connectivity troubleshooting in SQL Server 2008 with the Connectivity Ring Buffer

Please post the SQL Server error logs and Windows event logs for further troubleshooting.
