Server- ActiveSync RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have exchange 2003 SP2 Environment  FE-BE Model. One user is using Ipad, every 15 mins he loses his emails from his Ipad and has to sync his mailbox manually. I could see Event Id 3007. He is the only one user facing this issue. Seems like his sesion is getting timed out after 15 mins. Need help on this.

  • Do you want to post the entire event?

If it's an issue with the Ipad then go to Apple, if you think it's related to Exch then provide more details and any testing you have done. For e.g tested another device such as Android/Windows Mobile etc...

  • Firstly Sukh thanks for reply.

It is just one Ipad user who is facing the issue for rest of the user on the same mailbox store it is working fine. I have checked the OWA server, it is generating following event. Also one more question, does this relate to mailbox size as well?

Event ID: 3007 Source: Server ActiveSync
    Source: Server ActiveSync
    Type: Warning

Exchange mailbox Server response timeout: Server: [<server name>] User: [<user name>@<company name>.com]. Exchange ActiveSync Server failed to communicate with the Exchange mailbox server in a timely manner. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly and is not overloaded

  • Hi

    1. So can you setup a test user and configure on the same Ipad? Does that work?
    2. Have you tried the problem user on another device?
    3. This will help to rule out user/device issues.
    4. Then use the Exch RCA and test. - https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/
    5. When you repro the issue then get the relevant portion on the IIS logs and post.
    6. See if you see this in the IIS Logs - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2469722
    7. Also see this - http://exactit.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/iphone-4-and-active-sync-error.html and see if you can try the temp fix when appropiate.
