Updated FAST Search cert and still getting error: Failed to connect, Failed to initialize session with document engine: Unable to resolve Contentdistributor RRS feed

  • We have a 2010 SharePoint environment with FastSearch, which until recently worked fine. The FastSearch certificate expired on 5/2 so we updated it as we do every year. However, even after going through our usual instructions (updating the cert in the cert store, generating new cert with powershell and then using powershell to replace it (successfully)) we still get the message. "Failed to connect to sit2spapp1.fcdev.com:13391 Failed to initialize session with document engine: Unable to resolve Contentdistributor". The port is open and you can telnet to it and it matches what is in the install_info.txt file. We've rebooted the farm and no change.
