app share and ppt share not working in meeting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a problem with app share and ppt share during s4b meeting created by o365 users

I have on prem s4b infrastructure, during a meeting created by an external o365 user ( extarnal domain ) all my users are unable to see ppt e app presentation, it works only desktop presentation.

I have this problem only in case of a meeting is created by an user in o365 that use s4b in o365.

No problems for on prem meeting and no problem if external o365 user share an app or a ppt during one to one chat .

    thanks for your answers

  • Best way for troubleshooting is to activate the logging on the client, edge server and proxy.

For PPT sharing form O365 the wac server in O365 is used and this traffic use your proxy.

Does your proxy allow anonymous connection to the internet?

You can use fiddler on the client to troubleshoot https traffic

  • Hello Holger,

thanks for your reply, I have no proxy, I have a firewall/router ( Sonicwall for internet access )

I add that outside of my network it works fine, I think I have a problem in my network but I do not understand why desktop ppt sharing works fine and app and desktop sharing not work.

I have this problem only for Skype meeting, in a chat one to one I do not have this problem, what are the differences between meeting sharing and one to one sharing ?

    thanks

  • For meeting sharing you will use the FE server and Edge server. P2P is a direkt connection if possible.

You should check you Edge server configuration. Or start at least the tracing on the client to check the log of the client with the snooper.exe from the server debugging tools.

  • Hi Martyyn,

    Welcome to our forum.

Regarding this issue, I agree with Holger.

Would you please tell us did the issue only appear on the specific external O365 user?

If the issue only appeared on the specific O365 user, please try to compare the user attribute in AD between the affected user and other normal users.

If all O365 users had this issue, please check the configuration of federation between SFB on premise and SFB online, please refer to
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205126.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
Make sure your WAC server with the latest update.
Moreover, you could use Microsoft remote connectivity analyzer test if there are any connectivity issue.https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/

  • I have the issue only when external user ( from external/different domain )share app and ppt with me.

    I explain

For example if a user user01@microsoft.com ( user in office 365 ) create a meeting and share with me myuser@mydomain.com ( user in on prem infra ) ppt and app, I receive network error, no error if user share desktop.

    thanks
