Should the End User be member of the local system ADMIN's, to be able to access the contents in SSP ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

When we login as any normal domain user from any of the Windows 2008 r2 server’s(Where SSP is NOT installed), we have noticed that either we open the IE as ‘Run as Administrator’ or be a member of the local administrator of the server for the content of the SSP to be visible, else the screen would be blank(Attached Screenshot)

Can you please confirm/clarify the below:

      • Is this the expected behavior? ( End user needs to be member of local admin to be able to access the contents of the SSP)
      • Known Bug in the tool
      • Are we missing anything from our side? If so, how/where to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Hey

Is the URL added to "Local Intranet" and is the used Certificate trustworthy? Clients are often configured with these things, servers sometimes not :)
