Restoring from Quarantine RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, everyone! I recently installed Forefront Client on my company's servers (single-server topology, three servers covered total. The main server is running Microsoft Server 2008, the two client servers are running Microsoft Server 2003).

FCS quarantined a file on one of the client servers, and I need to unquarantine the file (I know that it's safe). I've tried transferring the file to the main server, at which point I can see the file under Quarantined Items in the FCS Console, but an error message pops up when I try to restore it. (Error Code 0x80508014)

I'm thinking it may be unable to decrypt the file because it was encrypted on a different machine, but I'm unable to open the FCS Console on the client server that the file was originally on. I click on the executable, and nothing happens- no error message, nothing.

    Can anyone help with this?

  • Nevermind, I figured this one out myself. I had to change the policy on the main server to allow me to pull up the FCS console on client servers.
