Windows 7 SP1 client shows status of "Not Applicable" for every single update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 7 SP1 client
Every update, including all Critical Updates for Windows 7, show a status of "Not Applicable" when running a "Computer Detailed Status Report"
The computer is current in updating its status with the WSUS server.

I am hoping that you can suggest reasons why this would be.

    Thanks!

  • It is only the one computer that has all of its updates listed as 'Not Applicable'

Some of these are the same updates that other computers show as 'Installed'

    Any other ideas?

    Yep!

One of those two statements is not true.

If the client is current in its updates and all you are seeing is Not Applicable updates, my guess would be that you've somehow filtered the report to not include the updates that would be listed as Installed.

  • Thanks for the reply.

The same report shows other computers with updates that are 'Installed' or 'Downloaded' (or 'Not Applicable')

    Any other ideas?
