How to create a public calendar In Exchange 2010 SP1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a new installation of Exchange 2010 and I did not install public folders. I am being asked for a calendar that everyone as access to. They also want to know if that calendar will be available to our Blackberry users.

    So its a 2 part question -

    1. How can I now add a public calendar to my Exchange Server, and

    2. Is there a way it can be access via a mobile (Blackberry, and  Smart Phone) device?

    As allways,

    Thanks

  • You could create a resource mailbox and assign permissions to everyone as needed:

Now, accessing via a mobile device is a different story. Iphones can add additional Exchange accounts, blackberry, not so sure.

Another option is a Sharepoint calendar. The problem there with remote access is the Iphones will require a VPN client or some other app to access the internal site.
