Remove/hide the power button in Windows server 2016

    Question

  • Is it possible to remove or hide the power button on Windows Server 2016?

And if so, how? preferably via GPO.

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Hi

Thanks for the answer, but that policy is allready applied, and the buttons for shutdown, restart and etc. is removed, but the Power button icon remains, and it's the power icon I want to remove.

If I could move the log off action down to the Power button from the account button, that would also be fine.

  • Did you test if the power button still works?

  • It does nothing now, but I don't want my users to see a button which has no function at all.

  • I'd also mention it over here. Select an appropriate area from second listbox on right.
