    We have many external clients that are not connected to the network for long periods of time.  Sometimes there installs of Office 2007/2010 because inactivated because they can't connect to the KMS servers.  What is the best way to minimize this or is there a best practice to handle this?

    That’s what you shall expect to happen when a KMS client is offline for 180 days —the activation validity interval. Consider converting KMS Clients to MAK activation to avoid this problem.
