Problem updating Agent (SP1 + Hotfix) RRS feed

    Hi Guys,

    We were an early adopter of both Win8 & SCCM2012 and have hit a problem whereby we updated to SP1 on Jan 4th to take advantage of the support for Win 8, and subsequently updated all the clients to the 'pre-hotfix' SP1 version of the client.  We have subsequently applied the hotfix but we are just wondering how to identify and update clients that were updated to pre-hotfix SP1.

    It appears that both pre & post SP1 hotfix version numbers are the same.

    Is there a way to identify the clients that are using the pre-hotfix SP1 version of the client?  We potentially have 1500 of these.

    Hi,

    If you mean this hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2801987

    Thenn there should be no need to update the SCCM client once it is installed as the update contains an update to one of the pre-reqs for installing the sccm client. So as long as you got it installed you don't have to update the client.

    Hi Jorgen,

    The issue we had was that we installed the updated client for SP1 on all the endpoint machines, then after realising we had a problem with the client not working, installed the Hotfix on the server.  The question is now, how do we update the client again on the endpoint machines to the Hotfix version automatically, as the pre hotfix sp1 client is broken (and wont pull down an update) and on top of this it already thinks it is up to date.

    We cannot determine any differences in the reported versions of the clients SP1 and SP1 with Hotfix.

    Any ideas?
