In addition to Prashobh'sm comments, there has also been a spate of recent articles in relation to branding and design over a NBSP.com by Mark Miller, SharePoint MVP. The link is below.

It would also be worth looking for Randy Drisgill and Kyle Schaefer as they're both known branding specialists.

Hi Nur,
There was another post on a very similar topic, that being branding in general. A few great links were provided, you might want to review that post first.
Besides the valuable links already recommended by others:
For a list of good blogs:
https://www.nothingbutsharepoint.com/sites/eusp/Pages/SharePoint-Design-Resources.aspx
My comment on blogs are that although they can have great articles, they often do not provide an intro to branding. Blogs are a great place to find an answer to a specific issue or problem, as well as a resource to see what other people are doing. You know, learning how to do something you did not even think of doing. Two great books that I reference all of the time:
Professional SharePoint 2010 Branding and User Interface Design
Practical SharePoint 2010 Branding and CustomizationA great book on SharePoint Designer:
Pro SharePoint Designer 2010If you are looking to customize your master page, which is very likely, you might want to review commented and optimzed master pages including
startermasterpage.codeplex.com
jumpstartbranding.codeplex.comI hope this helps.
