  • You will need to create a parameter in your MDX statement. Reference the PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer Help file. Look for the article "Create a custom MDX parameter for an analytic chart or grid". This walks through creating a parameter in your MDX statement.

  • Hello bharathimc,

Could you provide a little more information?

-When you say you could not link the filter are you receiving an error message or are you seeing unexpected results?

-After you dragged the filter onto the dashboard did you drag the "MemberUniqueName" property listed under the filter item in the dashboard onto the report?

-Have you tried using the black drop down arrow in the upper right of the report and choose "Create Link"?

    Thanks,

    Jon Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

-I dint get any error message or unexcepted results.

-I tried to drag the member unique name on to the rectangle box titled  'drop fields to create links' in the report

-I dint try the drop down arrow, When I hover the mouse cursor over the filter,a popup menu displayed, which has memberunique name, display value, display condition etc.I tried todrag member unique name from tht menu.

Hope i gave the required info.

  • Few more questions:

    1. Which Filter you are using?

    2. Is the data source of your filter and Reports same?

    3. Are you writting custom MDX for the reports?

  • have a refrenced your parameter in the MDX query?

In the MDX query you need to create the parameter by selecting the attribute in the MDX. See the bottom of the query pane.
