Missing icons in IE10 Command Bar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Having reinstalled IE10 on an HP ProBook 455 G2 (Win 7/ 64 bit) after instability with IE11 I find that some icons in the Command Bar (Page, Safety, Tools)are missing and have been replaced by text.  Is there any way I can rebuild the IE icons to fix this?  I have tried rebuilding the Win 7 icon database but with no impact.

    Any help much appreciated.

  • Hi,

right click somewhere on the Command bar to display its context menu... this is a bit fiddly ... you have to right click somewhere in-between the text labels... on the far rhs, just left of the dropdown chevron (looks like >>).

select the Customize>Add or Remove commands to move the missing icons back on to the Command bar.

select the Customize>Show only icons to show the icons.

    Regards.
